Ok. Now for some serious stuff. As you all know nike has followed the policy of outsourcing every function except their core competencies. And that would be branding. Well it has worked for them. And that is what Brand Bharti is trying to do. The money is a big issue. And there is always this differentiator between the onrolls and offrolls. Have's and Have not's.
- We behave like we are the ultimate answer to all the business problems, while they do all the grunge work and we drink chai.
- And you should know very little excel, only then you will be taken on roll, atleast i know that i dont know excel at all.
- And last but least of all the tag that these big companies carry along with them, sarkari company(A Govt company).That is the ultimate insult to any company.
How do you decide what is core and non core functions. A business is like a body. You cant outsource shitting to ramsingh and pissing to antony. What if they are not efficient. Come on guys you cant be that shortsighted. Well the profits have increased immensely. I feel that the old lady has just become fat. The organisation has lost its nimbleness. If the results are not coming you just hire more people.
I just am wondering what is Ramsingh suddenly decides he will not shit for anything on this planet earth. Even assholes can create lotta problems.

ReplyDeleteLet me give you an example, say a company X, is the most efficient at manufacturing, shock absorbers, then dont u think its logical for some automotive company to just buy the shock absorbers from this company rather than building their own intelligence in this field and then manufacture it for themselves?
Outsourcing is a good way to simplify the complex supply chain of a company. When vertical integration gets out of hand, outsourcing again is the way to go.
I know i might be talking purely based on theory as i havent really how things are in the corporate world.
What do you think?
ok let me put it this way, when will this outsourcing end. From India to Vietnam to Africa to Maybe USA after it goes down economically. Jobs lost in affluent nations, Jobs at below subsistence level at 3rd World countries. Nobody seems to be happy except the board members.

I don't agree. Outsourcing, when done for the right reasons, will actually help your company grow and save money. Back-office functions that are complicated in nature, but the size of your company is preventing you from performing it at a consistent and reasonable cost, is an advantage of outsourcing.
