Last week had a good Dinner, that is a Veg buffet(Vidya was so happy) with Sarath and MAM(yep the fauji habit is still there). So we as usual started talking about this and that, ended talking about marriage in general. And sarath is a sonovabitch who has the gift of the gab. Can make a dead body laugh(He used to stay with one in Jamshedpur).
so while having dinner i was reacting to some things, but he the seasoned player, been married for more than 3 years was not commenting. Just that sly and ugly looking smile of his. My wife was asking what is it..
Then i hot upon this brainwave....
About marriage is like taking pushups.. Before i proceed any further i need to narrate about our training in OTA. Before i could joing the academy i tried self training by watchin Ashwini nachappa movie. Didnt work out though. We were told that we will be taking close to 500 pushups after the first month. Ya right i was like PO the Kung fu panda, the only thing similar between me and PO was we could fart and make noises the same way. Any we ended up taking a lot of push ups. We would take them after Lunch, after Dinner. For every occasion and reason. Some senior had been fked by somebody, some body was angry because of the heat. For all reason and seasons Push ups was the remedy.
So the first few would be done with Josh, the next would be tiring, the next few would be painful and the rest of pushups you actually show you are doing them but what you actually do is touch mother earth and just act as though you are doing it sincerely.
Voila.. It was as if i was enlightened sitting in the place. Marriage is like pushups, first you are full of josh, then realisation that something is amiss. Then it pains a bit, then you attain Nirvana..
To be continued, How we went to little italy and de ordered food.
